On the afternoon of October 28th, 2025, the School of International Law CUPL / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law CUPL held a discipline construction work conference at the Haidian Campus. Vice President Liu Yanhong and Kong Qingjiang, Dean of the Academy for the Foreign-Related Rule of Law, attended the meeting. Participants also included members of the school's leadership team, heads of various research institutes, discipline leaders, representative key faculty members, and relevant administrative staff. The meeting was presided over by Li Juqian, Dean of the school.
During the meeting, Vice President Liu Yanhong affirmed the development path of the international law discipline construction. Dean Li Juqian delivered a report that systematically reviewed the school's phased achievements in the recent period and objectively analyzed the current status of discipline construction. The report also clarified the overall goals and key tasks for the next phase of discipline construction. Kong Qingjiang presented a specialized report on international law discipline construction, offering valuable suggestions for the school's development in this area.
During the exchange and discussion session, heads of research institutes and discipline leaders engaged in lively discussions around the work report. They actively provided suggestions on key issues such as refining disciplinary directions, talent recruitment and cultivation, research collaboration, and resource allocation.
In concluding remarks, Li Xinyu, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, emphasized that discipline construction is the overarching priority of the school. He stressed the need for unified thinking, consensus-building, coordinated efforts, enhanced cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration, targeted measures, and overcoming challenges to ensure continuous advancement of discipline construction to new levels.
