On the afternoon of October 16th, 2025, the School of International Law CUPL / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law CUPL held a student symposium titled "Cultivation and Development of Foreign-Related Legal Talents" in Conference Room A505 of the Main Building at the Changping Campus. Li Xinyu, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee; Li Juqian, Dean of the School; Zhu Lijiang, Vice Dean of the School; Zhou Jialei, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee; Wang Ying, faculty member from the Teaching and Research Office; and Liang Xianwei, instructor of the school all attended the event. They sat down with student representatives from the Experimental Class for Cultivating Foreign-Related Legal Talents, the Joint Experimental Class for Cultivating Foreign-Related Legal Talents with Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the International Organization Base Class. Centering on the theme of "Cultivation and Development of Foreign-Related Legal Talents," the participants engaged in face-to-face discussions on academic enhancement, curriculum optimization, career development, and overseas exchange opportunities.
Li Xinyu emphasized that cultivating foreign-related legal talents is a national priority and a demand of the era.
During the communication, student representatives from different grade levels raised questions and concerns regarding their studies, internships, and research. The school leadership carefully recorded and attentively listened to the students' inner requests, providing on-the-spot answers and jointly exploring potential solutions. In the concluding remarks, Li Juqian encouraged students to prioritize national needs in their career development, actively align their personal growth with national strategies, and focus on cultivating a global perspective and legal thinking in their studies.
